Postcards From The Abyss...

Where have I been? I've been asking myself that in more ways than one lately... but that's for another postcard.

Anyhow, we're back from the Great North, and it was a really great trip. It is really great to see everyone, and it really felt more like a vacation than a weekend visit. We were able to pack so many things in in such a short time, but it really didn't feel overwhelming, or exhausting. Gord handled it incredibly well - except we are afraid now that he hates the car. He traveled really well up north, but the way back was hell. He would only sleep for 40 minutes, so there was a lot of screaming.

So, I needed to post something before it got way out of control. So here it is. There is so much to do around the house - cut the grass, trim some trees, house cleaning etc., get ready for Florida, book a hotel for Sunday night, rent a car from the airport to Destin...

Ugh. I'm tired.

My sister is about to stop over for lunch, then we have to meet up with an old friend from highschool (and beyond), so I should really get going.

Wow... I never actually posted this. My phone rang, work got frantic, and I never made it back to my pc until now.

SO... I suppose I can update: Went for lunch with Ryan and Taryn at ESM. Gord was great. He sat in a restaurant highchair for the first time and handled it like a pro. Then went to the mall for a quick shop and made it back home to finish putting out the fires at work. All is well.

Gotta clean up a bit now while Gordo is having a nap. Ryan and I are going for beers later and Taryn I believe will be hangin out with Kim... so I need to tidy so she has a place to sit!
